I made the icon according to the classic technology - with tempera paints. For the wood carving decoration, I used a motif from an old Trevna iconostasis, with the symbolic meaning of the floral ornaments. The cross above is depicted as a four-leaf clover, from which three leaves emerge - the Holy Trinity. In the center of the clover are the two fundamentals - spirit and matter and the four directions of the world. The carved blossoms on the sides and the cherries below are four in number - the same as the four official Gospels. The icon is bordered with a wreath of intertwined branches, a symbol of gratitude and eternity. I made a spectacular gilding of the carving.
